More than 50% of Easy's cargo is transported using environmentally-friendly trucks

The home improvement store chain, Easy, has received the Clean Industry certification from the Energy Sustainability Agency (AgenciaSE), as part of a voluntary national program that aims to certify and recognize the efforts made by freight transport companies in the field of sustainability and energy efficiency.

Specifically, the government has recognized the company as one of the main generators of cargo that utilizes one of the 52 certified transport companies under the Clean Industry program, due to its lower fuel consumption and lower emissions of Greenhouse Gases (GHG). After a year of working with Clean Industry, Easy is acknowledged by a Government Agency as a company that has committed to decarbonizing freight transport in Chile, thus improving the environmental and energy performance of the transport companies they work with.

"Our brand commitment is to the home, and just as we take care of our customers' homes, we must also take care of everyone's home: the planet. That is why in 2021 we will work towards having 100% of our cargo transported by certified Clean Industry trucks," says Carlos Sandoval, Supply Chain Manager.

Currently, at least 50% of Easy's cargo is transported by certified trucks, contributing to the reduction of energy consumption, GHG emissions, and other local pollutants that affect people's health, as well as the environmental impact of various supply chains in our country. Additionally, the company has committed to taking actions to improve the environmental and energy performance of the transport companies they work with.
