Cencosud Appoints New General Manager for Its Operations in Brazil
- Vitor Fagá Almeida, an executive with 25 years of experience as CFO and CEO in supermarket and retail groups in Brazil and Europe, has been appointed to the role.
- His focus will be on further strengthening Cencosud’s presence in the country and continuing to advance the Company’s purpose of serving extraordinarily in every moment, while increasingly connecting with the needs of customers, communities, and team members.
Santiago, April 15, 2025 – Cencosud S.A. has appointed a new General Manager for its operations in Brazil: Vitor Fagá Almeida, a professional with 25 years of experience, who will take on the leadership of the business in the country.
Fagá Almeida, who will officially join the Company on May 5, has held various CFO and CEO positions, leading growth and transformation processes for major supermarket and retail groups in both Brazil and Europe. He holds a degree in Economics from the University of Campinas (UNICAMP) and a Master’s in Strategic Leadership from the London Business School.

It also operates the Cartão Cencosud, part of its Financial Services division. With over 300 locations and nearly 20,000 employees, Cencosud is present in the states of Alagoas, Bahia, Ceará, Goiás, Minas Gerais, Pernambuco, Rio de Janeiro, Sergipe, and São Paulo.
