Cencosud appoints Inés Ostenrieder as Corporate Manager of Administration and Finance

Santiago, Chile, July 22, 2022.- Cencosud S.A. is pleased to announce that Inés Ostenrieder has been appointed as the Corporate Manager of Administration and Finance, taking up her position since May 2022.

Inés, who has been a member of the Cencosud S.A. team since March 2018, has demonstrated an exceptional ability to manage and optimize the company's financial landscape. Her outstanding work has included a series of successful deleveraging operations, which have played a crucial role in strengthening Cencosud's financial stability. This remarkable leadership earned her the appointment as Finance Manager for Chile in May 2020.

Without losing momentum, Inés played a key role in the acquisition of the premium supermarket chain, The Fresh Market, expanding our horizon to 160 stores in 22 U.S. states. She also demonstrated her ability by managing the refinancing of The Fresh Market's inherited debt, resulting in an oversubscription of 2 times for a syndicated loan of USD 597 million.

Inés has extensive experience in Corporate and Commercial Banking, as well as Corporate Affairs for global consumer goods companies, including giants like Philip Morris International. Her career in the banking sector, which was forged at the Australia & New Zealand Bank, allowed her to develop skills in Finance, Corporate Strategy, Portfolio Management, Credit Risk, Sales, and Customer Service.

Inés holds a Master's degree in Applied Finance from the Kaplan Business School (Sydney, Australia), with a specialization in Corporate Finance and Financial Analysis, and a Bachelor's degree in Political Science from Monash University (Melbourne, Australia).

In addition, her presence on the Chilean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry since July 2020, where she serves as a board member, adds an additional layer of expertise to the team.

In her new challenge as Corporate Manager of Administration and Finance, Inés will report directly to the General Management of Cencosud S.A. Her global perspective and vast experience in international financial markets are the boost the leadership team needs to continue growing and strengthening.
