Cencosud Media begins operations in Peru and reaches presence in four Latin American Countries

    Santiago, May 2, 2023.- Cencosud Media, the Retail Media business unit of Cencosud, officially began its operations in Peru, thus joining Chile, Colombia, and Argentina where it already works with hundreds of brands. Cencosud Media seeks to boost attractive marketing strategies for brands, using Cencosud's 360° ecosystem -physical and digital- along with the creation of high-value audiences to impact customers with communication that fits their interests, and achieves effective reach in marketing campaigns.

    The Cencosud Media team in Peru will be led by Lissette Ramírez, who assumes the position as Head of Sales, with the mission of driving the growth of this new business unit at the local level.

    Regarding this, the Corporate Manager of Cencosud Media, Nicolás Montero, stated that the start of operations in Peru,

    Cencosud Media has its operations base in Uruguay, a country where since last December it provides services to Cencosud, associated with the development of digital products and businesses, such as e-commerce, marketplace, retail media, and advanced analytics, which aim to generate unique experiences for its customers. Currently, Cencosud Media works with hundreds of brands and has a presence in four countries in the region.

    This new milestone for Cencosud is part of the Company's global strategy and one of its strategic pillars: Innovation and New Trends. In this area, one of the business priorities is the regional expansion of this unit, to continue expanding its digital capabilities in the region and offer greater business opportunities.

    With a large volume of information, rethinking ways of communication and how to measure them, knowing and understanding its consumers and offering them what they are looking for more efficiently, is not always easy.

    To boost this trend increasingly present in the market, Cencosud created in 2021 Cencosud Media, a Retail Media unit capable of generating optimal investment models to connect brands with their audiences in a more effective way through advertising spaces that are part of Cencosud's ecosystem.

    Since its launch in 2021, Cencosud Media is developing and expanding its presence in the different Latin American countries where Cencosud operates, first in Chile, then in Colombia, continued in Argentina, and now finalizing its arrival in the Peruvian market.
