Paris opens a new store in the city of Valdivia
- This is a long-awaited store for the Valdivian community, which will seek to position itself as an attractive alternative in an important commercial area of the city located in the south of Chile.

November 10, 2023.- Paris opened a new 1,700-square-meter store, the first in the Los Ríos Region, in the center of the city of Valdivia. This is the 49th Paris store nationwide and the first opening since 2021.
Located in an important commercial hub of the city, Cencosud's department store brand promises to surprise customers with an attractive and modern format distributed over four levels. The store will offer a differentiating value proposition with a predominance of perfumery, clothing, footwear, technology and household appliances.
The arrival of Paris in Valdivia will contribute with a new source of employment for its inhabitants, contemplating the hiring of 60 people directly - in addition to other indirect jobs - who will work in different functions in the store.
The inauguration event was attended by the Regional Ministerial Secretary of Economy of Los Ríos, Alejandra Vásquez; representatives of the community, such as the Valdivia Public Safety Directorate, the Valdivia Fire Department, INACAP Valdivia, as well as Cencosud and Paris executives.
At the store, the public will be able to find all of Paris' own and exclusive brands, such as Opposite and Aussie for young people; Alaniz, Umbrale, Greenfield and Rainforest in women's and men's clothing; Tribu in children's clothing; Attimo in Home and Decorations items and Nex in Electronic articles.
We knew that this store was long awaited by the Valdivian community, so we are very pleased to be able to inaugurate it together with authorities, community representatives and our team. We believe that this new store will attract the public not only because of its good location, but also because of our attractive commercial proposal, quality service experience and innovation, attributes that are part of our value proposition," said Ricardo Bennett, General Manager of Paris.
For her part, the Ministerial Secretary of Economy of Los Ríos, Alejandra Vásquez, added that "we are very happy with this opening because they are investments that come to invigorate the economy and generate new jobs, and that also allow to renew the center of Valdivia. I am very happy that this store is opening because it allows us to generate a circuit in the center with more commerce and variety, which also favors tourism, and goes hand in hand with our intention as a government to attract more private investment".
Meanwhile, the store manager, Érika Cárcamo, commented that "it was a desire not only for those of us who are part of Paris, but also for the entire Valdivian community. The entire team of 60 people who are with us today are 100% committed to our service promise".

For 11 years it has promoted circular fashion through various initiatives that seek to avoid generating textile waste. On that path, and as a way to complement its value proposition, the store will soon feature part of its initiatives such as “Ropa x Ropa” and “Juguete X Juguete” programs.
In addition, to simplify shopping, the store will have modern payment centers, self-service checkouts and kiosks to assist in e-commerce sales. As for delivery alternatives, it will offer home delivery service and delivery at the Cencosud brands' pick-up points: Paris, Jumbo and Santa Isabel. In addition, there will be a space where customers will be able to obtain financial products.
