Santiago, December 17, 2014-. The 4-Star Superior Hotel will be operated under the AC by Marriott brand. It will feature approximately 253 rooms spread across an area of about 14,500 square meters, occupying the top 10 floors of Tower 4 in the Costanera Center complex.
The hotel chain will operate a 4-Star Superior category hotel under the AC by Marriott brand on 10 floors of Tower 4 in the Costanera Center complex, facing Avenida Vitacura. The new hotel, expected to be operational in the second half of 2016, will have approximately 253 rooms spread across an area of about 14,500 square meters.
The hotel will have its own access from Vitacura and will feature a restaurant, a lounge with a terrace, a gym, room service, and a connection to the mall on the fifth level.
The AC by Marriott brand will be a novelty in the Chilean market. This category was recently introduced by Marriott International on the continent. Originally founded in 1998 by Spanish businessman Antonio Catalán, it has more than 80 properties in Europe and was acquired by Marriott in 2011. Launched in the United States just over a year ago, it already has more than 20 projects in development. AC by Marriott hotels are modern, urban, cosmopolitan, and aimed at an audience seeking a new way of understanding, experiencing, and feeling the city.
Marriott's final choice for the operation of the hotel in Costanera Center was mainly due to the alignment of both companies in several aspects regarding the vision and business model to be developed.
The new AC by Marriott is expected to be well-received since, in addition to being a hotel operated by a world-class operator, it is located in a strategic location in the city with unique access for future guests to business, commerce, entertainment, gastronomy, and services.
Likewise, the hotel will become an additional attraction that will continue to enhance Costanera Center, complementing its commercial offerings, offices, restaurants, and services.
