Cencosud Ventures, Cencosud's new regional business unit, captures and invests in startups that contribute to the digital ecosystem #CencoTech. Led by Pepe Pascual, Cencosud Ventures connects with tech startups to accelerate business development.

It is oriented towards corporate venture capital, seeking to invest in startups with differential value and scalable solutions focused on e-commerce, logistics and supply chain, financial technologies, and retail services.

Likewise, as a team, they have the challenge of creating internal startups that synergize with the various areas and businesses of the company, to accelerate digital and cultural evolution, further exceeding the value proposition to customers and the communities where Cencosud is present.

The Corporate Venture Capital team is responsible for searching and identifying growth-stage startups, i.e., with a product, customers, and scaling projections, with the aim of becoming part of their investment portfolio.

Meanwhile, the New Ventures team has the mission of creating autonomous startups - preferably with internal talent - so they are constantly evaluating and exploring future digital business models using agile methodologies that validate these proposals early on, while seeking to co-create them with qualified leaders, who they call "founders". These founders will lead the new startup with the company's resources and assets. New Ventures accompanies the startups it generates with specialized services, to increase their growth speed and success.
