Cencosud ranks among the 12 Chilean companies that join the prestigious Dow Jones Sustainability Index

Santiago, November 7, 2015.- Cencosud has been included among the 12 Chilean companies that form part of the Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI), receiving significant recognition for the various policies and initiatives it promotes in this field.

This important achievement is the result of the evaluation carried out by the renowned global index, which annually assesses over 800 firms across 23 countries. In this regard, Cencosud's economic, social, and environmental performance successfully met the requirements established by Dow Jones.

The DJSI provides investors and companies with insights into trends and events driving the global supply and demand for sustainable products and services, ultimately leading to greater recognition of the benefits of integrating sustainability principles into business strategies and investments.
