Cencosud launches new loyalty program for its customers
- Puntos Cencosud is the name of the new program that will replace the well-known Nectar, the successful loyalty program that the company has been operating since 2010.

Santiago, March 27, 2014-. Building and working on the Cencosud brand is the objective of the retailer's loyalty program rebranding. The well-known Nectar program will now be called Puntos Cencosud, a program that will operate regionally where the group has a presence, with a simpler redemption system and more benefits for customers. The new program will maintain the same operational platform used so far, developed by the English company Aimia, the owner of the Nectar brand.
The partnership with the multinational English company was implemented in August 2010 and was well received by the public. Since this license could only be applied in Chile, Cencosud chose to develop its own program in order to unify the loyalty system regionally under the same brand.
Puntos Cencosud has already been operating in Colombia since November of last year with great success and will gradually be replicated in the rest of the countries where Cencosud has a presence: Argentina, Brazil, and Peru.

Furthermore, she adds that among the new benefits is the availability of more stores to earn points. There will be approximately 338 sales locations from Arica to Punta Arenas, as Jumbo, Easy, Santa Isabel, and Paris are joined by Johnson and the Eurofashion, Moon by Foster, JJO, Topman, Topshop, Umbrale, u+Kids, Women's Secret, and Legacy stores. During the next semester, these stores will also allow points redemption.
Points can also be redeemed in the points catalog, which offers products for the home, children, electronics, hairdressing services, spas, music, restaurant discounts, travel, Lan Kilometers, and concerts and events at the Movistar Arena. The new system simplifies redemption as only the ID card with the associated taxpayer identification number (RUT) will be required to obtain points, and using the Cencosud Card will earn an additional 50% more points.
